I’m lucky enough to live in one of the few places on earth (other than Venice) where you can look out your window and see Venetian gondolas passing by. Here in Oakland they’re run by a business at the Lake Chalet dock on Lake Merritt — Gondola Servizio. I wrote an article about the business last year.
