Our three Monarch caterpillars are now all changed to lovely green chrysalises. I was lucky enough to spot the exact moment of change by one of them, and made a video of the wriggling dance by which the quiescent caterpillar shrugs off its skin and reveals the chrysalis beneath.
The caterpillar found a perfect perch on a rack of bleached deer antlers Kieran brought home from Mt. Diablo last year.
