A friend with apple trees gave me a bag of apples yesterday, so I made a pie with them today. They were different sizes and sorts of apples, so it will be a hodgepodge of a pie! I spiced the apples with lemon juice, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice (first time I’ve tried that) and sugar.

The apples were different sorts and sizes.
My trusty sous-chef was in the kitchen!
I crimped the pie closed and baked it for about an hour.
It filled my home with a wonderful smell!
Which helps to counteract the smell of thousands of dead fish due to the red tide in Lake Merritt!
