We’ve had a lot of rain here in Northern California this winter. I noticed that some leaves, such as nasturtiums, are particularly hydrophobic, if that’s the right word. Their surfaces repel water and it beads up, making beautiful silvery lenses. Only a few other plants show this tendency, though I have seen it on flower petals.
