After an ugly urban event like last night’s homeless camp fire, it was a pleasure to circumambulate lovely Lake Merritt this morning and remind myself of the small consolations of nature that abound even here in Oakland.
A big bat ray on the west side of the lake. Bumble bee visiting lupines. Bumble bee in a California poppy.Samaras on a maple.Small bee on Iris pseudacorus.Ladybug chrysalis.Ladybug larva on Iris pseudacorus.Ladybug on Iris pseudacorus.Goslings: A sign of spring!
Thanks for your concern and positivity and nature photos. We are way behind you here in Portland, Maine.
